Sustainability initiatives provide opportunities for cities of all sizes to strengthen their local and regional economies, enhance physical infrastructure, protect natural resources, reduce expenses, increase quality of life, promote public health and further social equity.
Cities are clear and essential leaders in the promotion, development, and implementation of sustainability activities, programs, and policies. At this year’s Green Cities conference attendees will have the opportunity to explore and network across several topics fundamental to building and maintaining strong sustainability programs such as:
- institutionalizing and staffing sustainability programs,
- identifying and building strong partnerships,
- innovative solutions and effective strategies used across issue areas such as energy and food,
- sustaining efforts through ongoing funding, and
- effective messaging and communications
Why You Should Be There
