The National League of Cities’ Early Childhood Success team is bringing together city teams comprised of elected city officials, municipal staff, and community partners from participating cities for a leadership-focused convening designed to strengthen local early childhood systems and advance cross-sector governance. Centered on the theme, Leadership That Builds Legacy, this gathering will explore how municipal leaders can embed early childhood priorities into the fabric of local governance and position early childhood infrastructure as a driver of economic vitality, community wellbeing, and long-term civic success.
This opportunity positions cities to strengthen the connection between executive decision-making and local implementation efforts for early childhood systems. Through peer learning, interactive workshops, local team planning sessions, and leadership discussions, participants will examine strategies for aligning priorities, measuring progress, and advancing coordinated action that supports children, families, those that support children and families, and wider communities.
