The course is designed as an eight-session learning experience to help municipal leaders and staff strengthen how their cities use data to improve decisions, services, operations, and outcomes. This course will move from foundational data-driven government concepts into leadership, assessment and action planning, data governance, disaggregated data, performance management, data storytelling, and AI/data foundations.

Session format: Sessions 1–8 are planned as online synchronous sessions. 

Data Snapshot timing: Participants will complete the initial Data Snapshot between Sessions 1 and 3. Session 3 is designed to help participants use their Data Snapshot results and/or baseline reflection to identify priority areas and practical next steps.

Participant outputs: Across the course, participants will complete reflection activities and applied worksheets that build toward a final action plan and next-step commitment.
