Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15–October 15. To kick off the occasion, join NLC’s Hispanic Elected Local Officials (HELO) as we gather for our quarterly meeting on September 17.

This meeting is open to all local elected officials and municipal staff from NLC member communities who want to learn more about HELO, hear from Hispanic leaders and explore the ways Hispanic elected officials and communities are making an impact across the country.

The meeting will feature special guest Senator César J. Blanco of the 29th District of Texas and spotlight the City of Grand Prairie, Texas’ award-winning Amor GP project. This is an official cultural and community outreach project that celebrates Hispanic culture and creates resources for the city’s thriving Hispanic population.

Join us on September 17 and hear directly from leaders who are delivering for their communities.
