Young Municipal Leaders Network
"Leadership is not about the next election, it's about the next generation."
The Young Municipal Leaders (YML) network is dedicated to helping city leaders tackle the leadership challenges of today and tomorrow.
Open to elected officials and city staff 18-40 years old, the YML network recognizes that the next generation of leaders will face challenges unique to them and their peers.
- An unresloved infrastructure deficit.
- Climate change.
- Cyber security.
- A changing global economy.
These are just some of the issues young municipal leaders will take on in the coming years. By building an engaged community, we can develop solutions from city leader to city leader that span the country and improve residents' way of life.
In addition, NLC aims to bridge the cultural and generational gap by creating meaningful dialogue between city leaders past and present.
