From July 2022 to March 2026, the Local Infrastructure Hub supported 6,950+ local officials across 2,500+ cities nationwide, providing workshops, one-on-one expert support and practical tools to strengthen grant applications and implementation.

Though the Hub’s programming has ended, the content and learnings it provided are still relevant. The National League of Cities has collected these resources into an archive and invites its members to explore the ongoing grant programs for videos, fact sheets, and more resources that will help you access federal funding opportunities.

CWSRF and DWSRF are partnerships between the federal government and states that provide low-interest loans to support critical water infrastructure. CWSRF supports wastewater and storm water projects, while DWSRF supports drinking water infrastructure projects. The IIJA authorized states to use a portion of both CWSRF and DWSRF funds as forgivable loans or grants, particularly for projects serving disadvantaged communities. Both programs are designed to protect public health and the environment, while helping communities meet state and federal standards.
