Reimagining Public Safety Task Force Listening Session #3: Public Safety Budgeting

With support from the Vera Institute of Justice, the Urban Institute and Cities United, NLC’s Reimagining Public Safety Task Force hosted this third listening session in our series. Through expert resources and the experience of local leaders, we explored how cities have historically allocated public safety resources and shared insights on local innovations emerging across the country. Speakers also discussed upcoming federal support for public safety efforts, both through the American Recovery Plan and the promise of the American Jobs Plan.
