Thank you for supporting the Cities are Essential campaign by signing onto the coalition letter that went to congressional leadership in May. Two months later, Congress has still yet to make a direct fiscal investment into cities, towns and villages. When the Senate returns to Washington next week we expect them to unveil and take up the next coronavirus relief package but there is no guarantee that it will provide financial assistance to local governments. Your outreach this week is critical to ensuring that aid for local governments is included in that package.
