City efforts to support effective return from jails and prisons, the process known as reentry, exist in a complex landscape shaped by direct service and coordination. Based on a landscape analysis, NLC offers several recommendations on next steps and new directions cities can take to leverage additional partners and resources to achieve greater impact.
Understanding the reentry landscape is the first step in developing effective programming and ultimately eliminating over reliance on the criminal justice system.
