From 2022 to 2025, municipalities received an estimated $12.7 billion in federal funds for infrastructure projects showcasing the power of federal-local partnership to deliver results for residents’ transportation, water and energy needs. These funds are administered through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) through a mix of direct grants from the federal government, formula funding sent to states and federal loans to support significant infrastructure improvements across the United States.
