Across our nation, we are witnessing an increase in intimidating behaviors and incivility. To counter this trend, it is crucial to foster environments where respect, understanding, and collaboration can flourish, both in our communities and workplaces.

The American Public Health Association, American Psychological Association, International City/County Management Association (ICMA), and the National League of Cities (NLC) hosted an insightful conversation on the impact of incivility on public servants, including city managers, health professionals, and elected officials.

Experts from a myriad of industries shared their insights on the history of this crisis, their lived experience and countering incivility, supporting mental health of employees, promoting healthy community discussion and effective strategies to rebuild trust and foster healthy community engagement.
