The City of Sunnyvale, CA, is bringing an AI-powered translation tool into public meetings to support multilingual participation across boards, commissions, and City Council. The approach emerged from both operational needs and longer-standing equity considerations, particularly around ensuring that commissioners and community members can participate in meetings regardless of the language they speak.
