Leading for a New Era – the Next 100 Years

This year, the National League of Cities (NLC) is honored to celebrate 100 years of advocating for cities, towns and villages across the country. As we look toward the future and examine the challenges and opportunities of local governments, having the voice, experience, and leadership of elected officials serving on the frontline is essential.

Lead for a new era by exploring leadership opportunities with NLC:

  • Join the NLC Board of Directors
  • Lead a Federal Advocacy Committee and shape national municipal policy
  • Lead a Member Council and connect with cities like yours
  • Lead a Constituency Group and advocate for diversity and inclusion in cities

Serving as an NLC Officer, Board Member, Chair, Vice Chair or Constituency Group Leader allows municipal leaders to provide service, empowerment, and leadership at the national level – with the future of cities in mind.

Apply for NLC leadership to represent your community and share your voice to influence the direction of the National League of Cities and even national municipal policy.
