A space for local leaders to network and exchange ideas
NLC’s member networking councils bring together leaders from communities that are similar in size, type, or another important characteristic. Open to any local elected official who represents an NLC member city with a population of 200,000 or more, the Large Cities Council (LCC) shares ideas and successful strategies that solve challenges affecting large cities. By participating in the LCC, members gain access to a network of local leaders who work on issues that are relevant to your community.
Brandon Todd, Councilmember, Washington, D.C. (Chair)
Amy Fowler, Councilmember, Salt Lake City, Utah (Vice Chair)
The LCC welcomes new members at any time throughout the year; the group meets in person at the Congressional City Conference and City Summit. There is no extra cost for NLC members to join the LCC.
Leadership nominations for the Large Cities Council are solicited every Fall and their term begins at City Summit by the group’s membership. For information about leadership nominations and membership application form, see the membership section below.
