The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act offers incentives and support for both the public and private sectors to reduce housing costs and expand housing supply. For local governments, the bill enhances existing programs and authorizes several new competitive grant programs. For cities to compete for the new grant programs, cities will need to effectively communicate their communities’ needs to Member of Congress and federal agencies through their local housing strategy.
