Serving as a Black leader during Black History Month 2026 means honoring foundational leaders and accelerating meaningful progress for the community. It also means using one’s platform to advocate for social justice, promote authentic representation and actively mentor the next generation of leaders.
On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 4 pm ET, the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO) will host its first membership meeting of the year and invite elected officials and city staff to attend in recognition of Black History Month.
