This special mayors-only session will feature remarks from Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA-03), Chair of the U.S. House Committee on Education and Workforce’s Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education. His perspective will provide valuable insight into congressional priorities around education policy and their implications for cities.

The session will be guided by Mayors’ Education Task Force chairs Mayor Tim Kelly of Chattanooga, TN, and Mayor Corey Woods of Tempe, AZ, and will focus on how local leaders are advancing education initiatives in their communities. From afterschool programs to city-school collaboration to workforce development, the conversation will highlight real-world strategies from mayors themselves.

This session will provide opportunities for participation; if you have examples, questions, or ideas to contribute, please provide them in advance for consideration.
