As part of NLC’s recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, join this conversation on the digital divide. As students and facilities transitioned to online learning, Latinx families were significantly impacted. Research by the Pew Center finds that Black and Hispanic adults in the United States remain less likely than White adults to say they own a traditional computer or have high-speed internet at home, according to a Pew Research Center survey.

Hear from Amanda Fernández, CEO of Latinos for Education as well as representatives from NLC’s Institute for Youth, Education and Families (IYEF) on the impact of this digital divide on Hispanic youth. The session is hosted by NLC’s Hispanic Elected Local Officials (HELO) and Women in Municipal Government (WIMG).
