Cities without extensive federal grant experience often face a steep learning curve when it comes to implementation. This session will explore how to effectively deliver federally funded infrastructure projects, with a focus on procurement, federal compliance, and streamlined grant reporting.

About Local Infrastructure Hub (LIH)

The Local Infrastructure Hub (LIH), led by the National League of Cities and supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, provides free, expert-led training and resources designed to guide cities through every stage of the federal grant process, from application development to successful implementation and compliance. To date, LIH has supported over 1,240 cities with various levels of experience and has helped over 420 participating cities secure federal funding totaling more than $4.6 billion. This fall, new workshops will focus on funding opportunities for clean energy, brownfields, rail safety and safe streets.

Workshops are high-value half-day sessions that focus on specific federal grant programs, helping cities sharpen core skills and understand the technical requirements needed to apply for or implement funding effectively. All programs are completely free, and no prior grant writing experience is required.
