Please join the National League of Cities (NLC) in an interactive discussion around the importance of multi-sector collaboration and community wide alignment on addressing public health concerns. Drawing on the experience of Dr. Kevin Barnett and the Center to Advance Community Health and Equity (CACHE), we will highlight the evolving roles of hospitals in our communities. We will explore opportunities presented by the transformation in health care financing and delivery, which has been accelerated by COVID-19.  We will also examine the role that targeted data analytics can play in the laying the foundation for a productive dialogue and how communities can begin to address the profound inequities in healthcare driven by institutional racism.

Local leaders will be given the opportunity to engage with their peers from across the country about their own challenges and successes in engaging the healthcare sector on public health issues, as well as learn more about how they can deepen this engagement through a new community of practice from NLC. We are now accepting applications and the deadline is Friday, October 2.
