Norristown, Pennsylvania – Citizens Leadership Academy

Norristown, PA’s Citizens Leadership Academy won second place in the under 50,000 category of the City Cultural Diversity Awards. 

The eight-week academy is a series of classes offered to Norristown residents or business owners to help develop skills as a community leader and understand how municipal government operates. Graduates of the Citizens Leadership Academy may go on to leadership roles on municipal boards, commissions and Council.  Municipal staff conducts the sessions with focus on three major themes: Education, Leadership Development, and Communication Dynamics. Relevant information will enable citizens to understand how municipal departments serve the community, and understand the processes involved.
