Senior Associate, Sustainability

Anna Marandi is a Senior Associate on the Sustainability team at the National League of Cities. She manages the Leadership in Community Resilience program, a cohort of eight cities from across the United States that are in various stages of resilience-building efforts. Anna ensures that grantees receive highly customized technical assistance so that each city’s efforts are maximized, and strives to elevate their stories on the national stage for others to recognize and replicate. She also provides programmatic and research support to the Sustainability team on a wide variety of topics. Prior to joining NLC, Anna worked at the Institute for Sustainable Communities, where she coordinated a multi-county effort in Washington State to support the Puget Sound Climate Change Preparedness Collaborative, a consortium of local and tribal governments, private sector entities, regional agencies and non-profits focused on enhancing regional climate adaptation and preparedness efforts. Anna has a background in film, media and foreign languages, and graduated with a Masters in Environmental Policy from The New School for Public Engagement. She enjoys connecting with people with diverse experiences, and is fluent in Spanish and French.
