New Report Highlights City Action to Address the Financial Struggles of Families
As documented in our report, City Financial Inclusion Efforts: A National Overview, a combination of mayors, councilmembers and/or city treasurers in nearly 80 cities are working with community partners to increase the availability of financial education and counseling and implement other innovative programs to help families build financial stability.

Mayors' Education Advisors Meeting Focuses on Equity and Student Success
The city of Baltimore recently hosted the annual convening of NLC's Mayors' Education Policy Advisors Network (EPAN). Through EPAN, NLC supports mayoral leadership in education, collaborating with senior city staff to develop and share best practices that will improve the quality of public education in cities across America.

NLC Joins President Clinton to Announce a Campaign to Help Families Save for College
We are proud to join more than a dozen national partners in launching the Campaign for Every Kid’s Future, led by CFED. The campaign's goal is to open 1.4 million new children's savings account for college by 2020. Children with a savings account in their name are three times more likely to enroll in college and four times more likely to graduate.
