National Housing, Hazards, and Health Municipal Convening
The global COVID-19 pandemic and resulting downturn economy has pushed the issues of housing and health at the forefront of national conversation.
Now more than ever, local leaders must work to increase the number of children and families who live in healthy and hazard-free homes.
In partnership with the U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes, the National League of Cities have hosted annual convenings of local leaders and partner organizations featuring a series of interactive presentations and networking opportunities with peers and national experts to exchange key learnings and ideas on how best to address today’s most pressing housing issues to advance the most promising policies and practices for all communities.
Through these convenings, participating municipal leaders can expect to strengthen relationships among their peers and convening participants, while reviewing a framework for healthy housing policies, programs and practices.
