About the Conference

Tour the Sunsphere
Kickstart your conference experience at our Opening Reception on Wednesday evening at the Sunsphere, site of the 1982 World’s Fair.  Visit the Observation Deck for a 360-degree view of downtown Knoxville and the Smoky Mountains.

Earn 2 Credits with NLCU
Start your Thursday with a complimentary NLC University Seminar focused on leadership development from 8:00-11:00 am.  NLC members earn 2 credits in the NLC University Certificate Program.  Don't miss your chance to experience this benefit of your NLC membership.

Be Motivated
After a day of dynamic sessions, Thursday closes with a reception at the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, the only facility of its kind dedicated to all levels of women's basketball.  Be motivated and inspired with our keynote speaker Joan Cronan, former University of Tennessee Women’s Athletic Director, a member of the WBHF Board of Directors, and a 2015 inductee.

Experience our Mobile Workshop
Friday includes our Mobile Workshop in Farragut, TN, with sessions showcasing the dynamic legacy of Tennessean women who dared to disrupt the status quo, followed by an evening of networking aboard a Volunteer Princess Dinner Cruise.

Leave Inspired
End your conference experience on Saturday with topical sessions and a closing luncheon featuring Dr. Lois Jordan, the first woman - and first African-American woman - elected to the Nashville City Council.

  • The Importance of Women in Municipal Government Membership Luncheon (with Interactive Discussion Groups)
