 Dr. Neil Katz |
Dr. Neil Katz serves as the Director of Training and Organizational Development for the Executive Education Programs in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He also serves as the Distinguished Visiting Professor of Practice in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova-Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He is the author of over 30 books, articles and book chapters on conflict resolution, interest-based negotiation, mediation, and nonviolent action, and is a board member of national organizations.
Katz is the founder and director of the Program in Nonviolent Conflict and Change, the founder and director of the Annual Summer Institute on Creative Conflict Resolution, the co-founder and faculty supervisor for the Campus Mediation Center and the Conflict Resolution Consulting Group, the co-founder and associate director of the Program on the Analysis and Resolution of Conflicts and an associate professor of the Social Science and the Public Affairs Programs. |

 Dr. Lloyd Blanchard |
Dr. Lloyd Blanchard has recently been appointed as Executive Assistant to the Chancellor of Louisiana State University, where he is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Administration. His academic background includes faculty positions at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington.
Blanchard’s publications include “Tax Policy and School Finance” in the Handbook on Taxation; “Market-based Reforms in Government” in Administration and Society; and “Performance Budgeting: How NASA and SBA Link Costs and Performance,” published by the IBM Center for The Business of Government. He has also served in executive positions for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Small Business Administration, and the Office of Management and Budget. |

 Catherine Gerard |
Catherine M. Gerard serves as Associate Director of Executive Education Programs and Co-director of the Program on Analysis and Conflict Resolution at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. In that role, she manages the Master of Arts in Public Administration degree program, serves as graduate course professor for the Department of Public Administration, and designs and delivers executive education programs for domestic and international customers.
Before joining Syracuse University, Gerard was Assistant Director for the New York State Governor’s Office of Employee Relations where she led a consulting and training organization devoted to statewide training and organizational effectiveness. Throughout her career in State government, she specialized in assisting leaders with organizational change as well as the design and development of training programs. In addition, Ms. Gerard was a key architect of the State’s total quality management program and served as adjunct faculty member at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs at SUNY Albany. |

 Mark Lichtenstein |
Mark Lichtenstein is the Director of Operations (Chief Operating Officer) for the Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems (CoE) hosted by Syracuse University. He is also the Director of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Environmental Finance Center located at the CoE. He is principal of Lichtenstein Consulting and a management trainer for The Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
Lichtenstein served as President of the Washington, DC based National Recycling Coalition, Inc., and was a founder and the first Chairperson of the State Recycling Organizations’ National Council. He has served as President of the New York State Association of Environmental Management Councils, Inc. and the New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling, Inc. Previously, he led the nationally recognized Oswego County Recycling and Solid Waste Management Program in New York. While in Oswego County, he also played the dual role of Deputy Superintendent of the County’s Public Works Department. |

 Edward Bogucz |
Edward Bogucz has served as Executive Director of the Syracuse Center of Excellence (CoE) in Environmental and Energy Systems since August 2003. The Syracuse CoE is a federation of industry and academic partners that produces pioneering technologies and integrated systems to improve human health, productivity, and security; energy efficiency; and ecosystem sustainability in built and urban environments. Previously, Bogucz served more than eight years as Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University, first coming to Syracuse University in 1985 as a faculty member in mechanical and aerospace engineering.
Bogucz has more than 20 years of experience in collaborations involving university, industry, and government partners including projects in education, research, technology transfer and economic development. Bogucz currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Herley Industries and the Erie Canal Museum. |
