Shipping and Handling Fees

The National League of Cities (NLC) ShopNLC ships all items FedEx. Fedex does not ship to P.O. Boxes, if a street address is unavailable, items can be shipped to P.O. boxes by First Class/Priority Mail at the same shipping/handling charge. These shipments are not insured, and NLC cannot be held responsible for lost or misplaced orders. 

If the customer desires an expedited delivery ( Second Day Air or Next Day Air) must be selected during checkout and will require the customer to pay additional shipping costs. With these selections, in-stock merchandise will ship the same day with a Fedex delivery guarantee. 

Shipping and handling charges are subject to change and are based on product weight and the zone being shipped to and will be automatically calculated at the time of check out.

ShopNLC is headquartered in Washington D.C. therefore the residents of the District of Columbia are subject to a 10% sales tax on all orders.

Order Processing

You will receive an email confirmation that your order has been received. Credit card orders will be processed in the same way as mail, phone, email, or fax orders.

ShopNLC store accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards.

Custom Orders

Certain items in the ShopNLC store can be customized for additional fees. There will be a notation under the items that are customizable. Custom order instructions are given at the time of check out in the "notes" field. A ShopNLC customer representative will call you to verify the request and make sure that the order is placed to your specifications and then require an email verification of the final order. Custom orders take longer so plan extra time to get these items in a timely manner. All custom orders are final sales and no refunds will be issued on a custom order unless there is a manufacturer defect or damage during shipping.

NLC Member Discounts

New members of the National League of Cities will receive a coupon code for a 15% discount on any orders in the first 90 days of their membership. 

Return/Exchange

We want you to be completely satisfied with the products you purchase from ShopNLC.org. You can depend on our cooperation and assistance if for some reason you wish to return your purchase. Please follow the guidelines below for your return/exchange. (*Note: Customized orders CANNOT be returned)

ShopNLC.org will accept merchandise return/exchange under the following conditions:

• All returns/exchanges must be pre-authorized by ShopNLC.org before shipping any merchandise to our headquarters. To receive a return authorization number, please call the Member Relations Team toll free at 877-827-2385 during business hours.
• If you are returning manufacturer defective merchandise, we will pay the cost of return shipping only if you use the postage prepaid return label. Standard shipping rates apply on the reshipment of an exchanged item.
• Please note the return authorization number on the outside of the shipping package to expedite processing of your return/exchange.
• Returns/exchanges must be received within 14 days of authorization. If received after 14 days, you will be charged a $20.00 re-stock fee.
• All returned merchandise is subject to quality inspection. We will not accept worn/damaged merchandise for exchange or refund. If items are returned in unacceptable condition, they will be returned back to you at your expense.
• No Custom order can be returned after authorization of customization has occured
