NLC Ambassador Team
Join NLC's field team dedicated to recruitment and engagement of new and prospective members. With oversight by the NLC Board Membership Committee, the Ambassador Team is comprised of volunteers who offer their valuable skills, perspectives, and love of NLC to become more involved and to connect with new and prospective member city officials.
What is the role of an Ambassador?
- Encourage others to join and to volunteer at NLC.
- Work with NLC staff to create new ideas for engaging new members.
- Engage with new and prospective members throughout the year as needed.
What are the expectations of the NLC Ambassadors?
We recognize that your time is precious. We want you to choose to do what is manageable for you and what fits around your day-to-day activities. Here are a just few ways Ambassadors may serve:
- Assist as greeters and mentors at NLC conferences
- Assist NLC staff in targeting and connecting with prospective member city officials
- Assist in the NLC booth at your state league conference
- Speak or present about NLC at state league conferences
