Washington, D.C. – National League of Cities (NLC) today presented the “President’s Award” to U.S. Representative Steve Womack for his exemplary record of promoting intergovernmental partnerships and his commitment to improving the quality of life in America’s cities and towns. NLC President Chris Coleman, Mayor of Saint Paul, presented the award to Rep. Womack during the organization’s Congressional City Conference in Washington.
Rep. Womack has and continues to be a champion for the passage of the Marketplace Fairness Act in the House and has shown tireless leadership consistent with NLC's mission of helping city leaders build better communities.
