Economic Development Peer Network to Hold Webinar January 19

NLC's Economic Development (ED) Peer Network is holding a webinar on supporting local business on January 19th at 2:30 pm Eastern Time. The ED Peer Network is open to local elected officials, staff and other economic development stakeholders and provides opportunities to hear from experts and exchange best practices with peers. This event is the first of the bi-monthly ED Peer Network webinars of 2012.

The webinar will focus on the challenges facing local businesses and ways cities can better meet their needs. It will feature Katie Bennett from the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, who will discuss recent findings on how to improve municipal processes for small businesses and Sara J. Dunnigan, senior vice president, Existing Business Services and Talent Development, for the Greater Richmond Partnership Inc., who will speak on business retention and expansion efforts.
