If you were unable to visit the 2012 City Showcase at the Congress of Cities and Exposition in Boston, you can still learn about the 27 innovative, successful programs selected for the City Showcase. These programs adopted innovative approaches to improving the quality of life in their communities, and can provide ideas for how your community can build on existing initiatives or develop new solutions to address the challenges your city may face.
Last year's group of programs ran the gamut from sustainability to early childhood education, immigrant integration and public health protection. Whether you want to develop a bike share program like Boston, a green infrastructure program like Kansas City, MO, address key issues affecting new immigrants like the Mayor's Office of New Bostonians, or prevent health and safety issues caused by hoarding like Arlington, MA, those and many other programs can be found on the NLC website. The City Showcase is NLC's premier program celebrating city achievements.
