The Summit’s high-quality training sessions, workshops, plenaries, and site visits feature cutting-edge city innovations and strategies. Areas of focus include:
Family financial stability
School improvement/dropout prevention
Youth employment
Afterschool programming
Access to college
Youth violence prevention
Early literacy/school readiness
Youth civic engagement
Childhood obesity prevention
Strategies for reengaging disconnected youth
Citywide “infrastructure” to sustain local initiatives
At past Summits, attendees have had the opportunity to participate in special sessions for community teams designed to strengthen citywide collaboration and advance local planning efforts, as well as pre-conference trainings on utilizing data more effectively and engaging local partners.
