Disconnected Youth Leadership Academy 2004
In Oct. 2004, the YEF Institute convened participants from 25 cities at a Leadership Academy in Philadelphia on using municipal leadership to strengthen cross-system collaboration for older disconnected youth.
Significant attention was paid to collaboration between and among the juvenile justice and school systems, as well as the workforce and foster care systems. Municipal leaders from participating cities had opportunities throughout to share lessons learned and promising practices for improving and integrating services for disconnected youth.
