Resources for Cities:
Corporate Giving/Community Involvement:
Across the country, cities and states are recognizing green building as a way to protect the environment, promote energy independence, save money, and create healthier places to live, work and learn. In partnering with its members and chapters to lead advocacy efforts at the federal, state and local levels, USGBC is facilitating the development and implementation of a growing number of public policies that feature green building.
USGBC’s green building advocates are on the ground in every state, providing policymakers and community leaders with the tools, strategies and resources they need to take leadership positions, foster innovation, and inspire others to work toward a sustainable future. With the federal government, every state legislature, and dozens of county and municipal governments adopting and considering policies to deliver the benefits of green building, USGBC is accelerating the uptake of policies and initiatives that advance energy conservation, green building, and healthy, livable communities.
And in almost every state and major city, USGBC’s 78 chapters are working with local governments to build networks, educate stakeholders and promote green design where it counts most-at the local level.
