Corporate Giving/Community Involvement:
Veolia Water provides a vast array of public and community programs designed to help strengthen the understanding of water and other environmental issues in the communities we serve. Our commitment to good corporate citizenship takes many forms -- time, money and materials for community programs; facility tours and open houses targeted to community and school groups; scholarship programs for needy students pursuing careers in environmental protection; and educational initiatives. Some of Veolia Water?s recent community-focused efforts have included:
- $1 million in donations to Hurricane Katrina disaster relief efforts
- Habitat for Humanity support
- Large-scale community beautification, such as river clean ups and tree donations
- Water Box ? water cycle education programs geared to 4th ? 6th grade students
- Water quality and conservation education
- Partnering with universities to develop environmental, watershed and R&D programs
