Corporate Giving/Community Involvement:
 
Johnson Controls and its employees donated over $10 million to qualified non-profit organizations, mainly in communities where we have a local presence. Additionally, the company awards $240,000 annually in college scholarships to children of employees, selected based on academics, leadership and civic involvement. In 2005 Johnson Controls launched a three-year pilot program with Big-Brothers Big Sisters to develop a best practices model for corporate partnering. Through its CAREERCONNECT program, Johnson Controls supports partnerships with key technical colleges, community colleges and universities that offer degrees in HVAC technology and service. It helps colleges make advancements in curriculum, environment and student experience, helping to recruit and train future heating and air conditioning technicians.
