Council Membership
Membership is open to any elected official representing a city with population 200,000 or great or the largest city in your state.  If you are interested in participating in the Council, please email the staff contact below.

Meetings
The Council meets at least twice each year - at the Congressional City Conference and the Congress of Cities.  These meetings are open to any interested attendee at the conference.  In addition, the chairs of two parallel groups - the Small Cities Council and the First Tier Suburbs Council - interact regularly to explore opportunities for collaboration among these three councils to meet the needs of their members and to contribute to the NLC agenda. 

The next will meeting will be held at the Congress of Cities in Orlando, Florida, November 11-15, 2008.  All are welcome to attend.

If you are interested in receiving information about the Large Cities Council and issues related to central cities, please email pulidindi@nlc.org. Formal membership on the steering committee of the Large Cities Council requires appointment by the NLC president.  Applications are available in September of each year.
