National League of Cities collaborates with private companies to offer programs and services that provide cost savings benefits to cities and/or their residents by drawing upon the best business practices and solutions from the corporate sector.

U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance
The U.S. Communities program provides cities, counties, schools and non-profit organizations across the country with the oppoortunity to purchase thousands of products (including many "green" products) through publicly competitively bid contracts with nationally recognized suppliers. NLC Prescrption Discount Card Program
The NLC Prescription Discount Card program, in collaboration with CVS Caremark, is a program for member cities to help residents cope with the high cost of prescription drugs. The program can save an average of 20% off the full retail cost of prescription medication for residents who are without health insurance, a traditional pharmacy benefit plan, or have prescriptions not covered by insurance.
