    Our national infrastructure network is vital to our economic recovery and growth.

    The current federal transportation program provides reliable and sustained funds to address challenges in communities across the nation and maintain our national network of roads, bridges, public transportation and railways, which help to move people, goods and services. However, as local governments continue to respond to fiscal challenges, and existing infrastructure continues to show signs of age, federal support is all the more critical not only to maintain this network, but to put individuals and communities back to work.
