Formed in 2001, the Family Economic Success (FES) Network provides the training, tools, and supports that local officials need to improve the financial stability of their residents.
Specific areas of focus include increasing access to mainstream financial services, helping families build and protect assets, and conducting multi-benefit outreach. The network is made possible by the generous support of the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
Approximately 500 members participate in the network, including local elected officials, senior municipal staff, other policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and national partner organizations. This network is open to all municipal officials, city staff, and practitioners who are interested in joining.
Bi-monthly e-newsletter: The FES Network receives bi-monthly email updates that highlight YEF Institute activities and resources, showcase promising city efforts, spotlight strategies and approaches to improving family economic success, and include additional resources, research, and relevant news items.
Quarterly audioconference series: FES Network members can take part in a quarterly audioconference series focusing on a range of issues, from promoting asset-building at tax time and supporting workforce development strategies to increasing access to financial education.
