Weston Solutions, Inc. (WESTON®) delivers integrated environmental, sustainability, property redevelopment, energy, and construction solutions. We build strong relationships with government, industry, and local communities, blending proven strategies with groundbreaking technology to produce project-specific solutions.
As part of the company's 2010 vision-setting process, WESTON employees identified a commitment to sustainability and making a difference. These two forces drive WESTON's commitment integrating sustainability as part of their environmental and social ethic, and taking advantage of the operational efficiencies sustainability brings. WESTON partners with clients, communities, and stakeholders in pursuit of sustainability, and engages its employees to reach out to their respective local communities.
The Community Partnering program provides a platform for WESTON employee-owners to support the causes that they are passionate about and to work on projects that let them serve as partners to the communities where they live and work.
At the corporate level, WESTON's Making a Difference events often focus on sustainability, education, community development, and the environment, while grassroots events at the local level take place on an even broader spectrum. WESTON employees are so committed to this program that when challenged to create "30 events in 30 days", they participated in 60, which was just a subset of the hundreds of projects that took place throughout 2009 and beyond.
More than 130 employee-owners from WESTON helped East Side High School in Newark, New Jersey, with various school improvements. Projects included renovating classrooms, painting, building shelving units, and installing a roof-top solar panel. WESTON volunteers also participated in cleanup and refurbishment projects at the adjacent Independence Park.
