As North America's largest recycler, Waste Management handles 7.6 million tons of commodities each year, saving more than 41 million trees and enough energy to power 1.3 million households. With more than 100 renewable-energy projects, the company produces enough electricity to power more than 400,000 homes, saving the equivalent of two million tons of coal per year.
