The National League of Cities Corporate Partners Program promotes the exchange of ideas between corporate leaders and the leaders of America’s cities with the purpose of strengthening local government, encouraging economic competitiveness and promoting corporate civic engagement. NLC’s Corporate Partners provide valuable insights and perspectives on issues facing cities and towns and offer resources to address those opportunities and challenges. Capstone Corporate Partners are NLC’s premier partners, providing the high level of financial and in-kind resources to support the organization’s mission.

Participation is invitation only and space-limited. | Annual investment is $50,000.

  • Lead among your peers - Receive preference for serving as chair and vice chair of Corporate Partners Leadership Council and engage with other business and not-for-profit leaders committed to the nation's cities.

  • Increase your networking with city leaders - Receive an exclusive invitation to participate in portions of the NLC Board of Directors summer meeting, share expertise, and network with NLC leadership.
  • Share your expertise and commitment to cities - Highlight your organization's solutions for cities and build relationships with NLC members through the A.S.K. a Corporate Partner Program, which provides one-on-one consultations between partners and members.
  • Share your resources for cities - Create a corporate partner profile on the NLC Web site, which highlights your company information, corporate citizenship, social media links, and resources. In addition, share your organization's resources with municipal leaders through a separate Corporate Partners Resources Page.
  • Share your solutions through member communications - Author an article in an NLC publication or e-newsletter and share how your organization is providing solutions for cities.
  • Share your expertise through video content - Take advantage of opportunities throughout the year to discuss your company's solutions via video content captured at NLC conferences and hosted on NLC's YouTube site.
  • Stay current on the news affecting cities - Receive complimentary subscriptions to The Weekly and regular electronic updates (e.g., press releases, federal relations updates, member communications) and stay on top of the latest issues and trends affecting local governments.
  • Learn about new trends and current research - Receive email notification of new NLC publications and web-based resources, including case studies, guidebooks and research briefs.

Marketing and Networking Opportunities

  • Participate in and stand out at NLC conferences and events - Receive recognition with and access to city leaders, including: complimentary registrations to both the NLC Congress of Cities and Exposition (every fall) and Congressional Cities Conference (every March); one complimentary 10 x 10 exhibit booth space at the Congress of Cities and Exposition; and print, web, sign, e-mail and other recognition before and during the conferences.
  • Sponsor an educational session at an NLC event - Receive the exclusive opportunity to submit proposals for educational workshops at NLC conferences and events.
  • Sponsor high-visibility events - Receive exclusive invitations to sponsor high-visibility events throughout the year. (The fee for event sponsorship is in addition to the annual Corporate Partner investment.)
  • Reach a broad audience - Use discounted advertising to reach a broader audience of city officials who receive The Weekly, including elected officials and senior staff from all NLC member cities and state municipal leagues.
  • Reach your target market directly - Use discounted mailing lists through the NLC Municipal Officials Database (includes all NLC direct member cities and other cities with populations greater than 10,000) to pinpoint your message and reach elected and career officials with your targeted message.
