Application for Committee and Council Leadership Positions
NLC members can submit online applications and a biographical statement for consideration of appointment of Chair, Vice Chair or to a Steering Committee for 2014 NLC committees and councils. Please be sure to notify your state municipal league director that you are applying for a leadership position on a committee or council for 2014.
Conditions for Appointment
- Your city must be a member of the National League of Cities
- You must be in office through December 31, 2014
- You cannot serve on the NLC Board of Directors if appointed as a Chair or Vice Chair of a committee
- You may apply for appointment to several committees for consideration but may only serve on one in any given year.
