The UNC-Chapel Hill School of Government is the largest university-based local government training, advisory, and research organization in the United States. More than 100 School of Government faculty and staff members work with public officials at all levels, as well as nonprofit organizations, to address concerns of the public well-being. In 2012, U.S. News & World Report ranked the UNC MPA program sixth nationally in the specialty area of city management and 23rd overall.
Delivered in a flexible, online format MPA@UNC is a graduate degree that prepares students to be effective leaders in public service. Students benefit from the same top-ranked UNC School of Government curriculum, courses, and renowned faculty as full-time, on-campus students. The MPA@UNC program is designed to build upon students’ passion, skills, and expertise in managing and leading local, state, federal government, or nonprofit organizations.
