NLC University is intended to be more than a source of occasional information; it’s designed to be an ongoing, coordinated resource that municipal leaders and their staffs can continually draw upon to build knowledge, confidence, and expertise, as well as a place to grow and cultivate professional ties.
Attendees will be acknowledged for participation in individual courses, and are recognized for achievement over time through the award of certificates based on accumulated credits.
Credits earned through NLC's former Leadership Training Institute program will be transferred and applied at an equivalent NLC University level.
Based on the individual's involvement, there are eight levels of progressively more prestigious recognition. These include:
Participants will be recognized for their achievements at an annual Leadership Luncheon at the Congress of Cities and Exposition.
