Overview

The First Tier Suburbs Council (FTS) represent cities and towns outside of central cities and inside the ring of developing suburbs and rural areas. These communities share unique challenges and strengths that should be included in national, state and regional policy discussions. They are diverse with respect to size, demographic characteristics, age and history, resources and governmental structure.

This meeting brings local leaders from across the country together to discuss the most pressing opportunities and challenges suburbs are dealing with today. Presentations from industry leaders along with first hand best practice sharing from Salt Lake City area communities over the course of two full days will provide attendees with an in depth understanding of significant issues confronting local governments.
