Be an Industry Thought Leader

Sponsored Solution Sessions offer a unique education and marketing opportunity for companies and organizations looking to reach local elected officials. These sessions provide your organization with a forum to share products and solutions for cities, demonstrate thought leadership and provide industry analysis important to city officials, deliver case studies and best practices in your industry, or create dialogue and the exchange of ideas on a topic important to elected officials.

• All sessions will be 45 minutes in length and scheduled on the hour on Thursday, November 14, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (excluding 12:00-1:00 p.m.) This timeframe overlaps with the Exposition Hall hours, but not the conference programming. 
• There are four time slots available and two theater rooms for a total of 8 available sessions. 
• Rooms will be located in the conference convention center and will be set for up to 75 participants. 
• The sessions will be promoted on the Congress of Cities website (www.congressofcities.org), in pre-conference email alerts to registered delegates and in the onsite conference guide.
• Delegates are able to participate in the Solution Theaters as part of the conference registration fee - no additional fee will be charged.

Application Process
NLC is accepting applications for a Sponsored Solution Session. The application requests information about the proposed session, including title, description and speakers, and a commitment from the submitting organization to pay the appropriate fee and agree to NLC terms and conditions. Applications must be received electronically by NLC by 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, September 20.

Selection Process
NLC's goal is to provide a wide breadth of sessions covering a variety of solutions and issues. Sponsored solution sessions should provide educational value to the delegates in attendance. Only one workshop submission per company is permitted.

Alignment with the topical areas of the conference is not required. Timeliness of the issue or solution, applicability to municipalities, and strength of the session description are important. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.

Interested in an opportunity inside the exposition hall?

Exhibitors have the exclusive opportunity to present a 15-minute Vendor Theater session in the exposition hall. On Thursday, November 14, and Friday, November 15, during the conference-wide luncheon, NLC will set up two Vendor Theater stages, each with a podium and seating. Participating in a Vendor Theater will provide your company with a platform to share information and drive traffic back to your booth during one of the most high-traffic times during the event. Vendor Theaters are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
