Complying with the Affordable Care Act: A Guide for Cities and Towns

  • Date: September 11, 2012
  • Time: 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm
  • Category: Webinar

Local leaders will play a key role in ensuring that their cities and towns are in compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), as well as in educating constituents about what they can expect as the ACA goes into effect.  In support of this effort, NLC is hosting a webinar that will supply the information local officials need to know about the ACA in order to ensure that their city or town is in compliance.  The webinar will also help local leaders to better communicate with constituents about various health care coverage options.  Finally, from the definition of a qualified health plan to the standards that must be met if a city or town is self-insured, this webinar will provide cities as employers the resources needed to assess whether municipal health plans meet the standards outlined in the ACA.
