The Providence, R.I., Poverty, Work and Opportunity Task Force developed recommendations over five years ago for how the city could build opportunity for its residents. City leaders are now implementing new strategies, including braiding multiple funding streams to bring effective programs to scale, and connecting health and housing strategies.
